Boo at the Zoo Is Back: Family-Friendly Frights Await at the El Paso Zoo
We’re starting to get word about upcoming Halloween events, and one of those yearly happenings geared towards ghouls and goblins of all ages returning is Boo at the Zoo.
The El Paso Zoo says it will be hosting its popular October celebration the weekend before Halloween.
Wildest Halloween Fun in Town
For two fun-filled afternoons, the zoo will once again transform into the wildest trick-or-treat spot in town with a dozen candy stations and all kinds of slightly spooky family fun.
Kids 12 and under can trick or treat in a safe environment while partaking in various children's games and activities, and watching animals enjoy a Halloween treat of their own.
A detailed list of activities and entertainment is still pending and will be announced in the coming weeks, but if it’s anything like last year it’s going to be a fun-filled day of animal encounters, costumed activities, and frightfully delightful decorations.
In addition to all the Halloween activities going on, the zoo's family attractions such as the splash pad, Tree House Playground, and the Endangered Species Carousel will be available for the little ghouls and goblins to ride, jump, and play in.
As always, Halloween costume wearing by all attendees will not only be allowed, it's encouraged.
Visit Obi, Check Out Penguin Exhibit
Along with all the Halloween stuff, you and the kids can also meet Obi, the newest member of the giraffe herd and the first-ever giraffe born at the El Paso Zoo. The months-old male giraffe has just recently started exploring his new surroundings.
Boo at the Zoo will also be a good time to take a peek at the progress of the future Penguin enclosure, which is nearing completion. And don’t forget to wish Savannah the elephant a happy belated birthday. The El Paso Zoo's largest resident just turned 71, but in her case, age is irrelephant. She's 71 and still looking fabulous!
