Unleash Your Inner Explorer at the El Paso Zoo’s Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta

It’s back and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than years before! I’m talking about the Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta, a collaboration between the El Paso Zoo, the Chihuahuan Desert Education Coalition, and Texas Parks and Wildlife.

This year’s Annual event held at the El Paso Zoo and  will be a two-day extravaganza that is set to take place on September 23 and 24.

According to the City of El Paso, this event is set to bring together a squad of conservation heroes from all over the region. They're gearing up to chat about groundbreaking initiatives and spill the beans on how to keep our desert oasis thriving.

"We are thrilled to welcome back the Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta for the fourth time as a two-day event,” Rick LoBello, the El Paso Zoo's Education and Conservation Curator.”

The main mission behind this two day event is to support education, research, wildlife conservation, and unforgettable experiences for children and adults at the El Paso Zoo.

So, what can you expect at this wild desert shindig? 

Guests will be able to enjoy incredible exhibits, dive into informational displays, and be mesmerized by animal encounters. You can also become one with nature by embarking on exciting discovery hikes at the Tom Mays Unit of Franklin Mountains State Park.

• Zoo presentations: Saturday, Sept. 23 (admission required)
• Chihuahuan Desert discovery hikes: Sunday, Sept. 24
