Saturdays in July, instead of closing at 5 p.m. as it normally does on weekends the zoo will stay open until 8:00 p.m.

The "7" in Lucky 7 Saturday Nights is a reference to the admission, price of food specials, and the time tickets will be sold through.

The price to get in after 5 p.m. is $7, concessions will include $7 food specials, and tickets for the evening will be on sale until 7 p.m.

Some of what happens after hours includes live music and entertainment, and animal presentations. All the exhibits and attractions -- like the splash pad, tree house playground, train ride, ropes challenge, and carousel -- stay open into the evening.

Plus, the Lucha League will take residency at the zoo for all 4 Saturdays. The heroes and villains of Lucha League will rumble and tumble inside the ring beginning at 5 p.m. in the Wildlife Amphitheater.

Extended Saturday hours happens on July 8, 15, 22, and 29. Zoo memberships are honored on Lucky 7 Saturday Nights.
