Yelp Says This is The Top Restaurant in El Paso and It’s Not Who You Think

The refined foodies at Yelp have determined their "Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas" for 2022, and there's an El Paso restaurant on the list.

El Paso Under-represented on Yelp’s Top 100 Texas Restaurants 2022

Even though the Mexican food in El Paso rivals what you'll find anywhere in the state, the Sun City was way under-represented.

The Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio areas are represented multiple times, but only one El Paso restaurant made their list.

Yelp says the top 100 spots were determined by reaching out to users and asking about their favorite restaurants. Then they ranked them based on “a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews between January 1, 2017 and January 31, 2022.”

Quaint Eatery Near the Airport is Tops

So, which El Paso eatery did the crowd-sourced local businesses reviews site name one of the top 100 places to eat in 2022?

The unassuming Mission-style exterior of this quaint eatery near the El Paso airport belies the authentic Mexican food served inside. Come hungry for breakfast or lunch (they close at 4 pm most days), and enjoy traditional dishes like huevos rancheros and huevos con papas (eggs with potatoes).

Their flautas, al pastor tacos and tortilla soup also get rave reviews from the local Yelp crowd.
