Yelp Ranked 100 BBQ Spots: El Paso Among Top Texas Smokehouses
Depending on who ya are, you either think Texas does a lot of good or a lot of bad in the country but one thing we can all agree on is that Texas knows Barbeque! Yelp ranked the Top BBQ Spots in America in 2024 and it should come as no surprise that Texas lead the list with the most smokehouses on this top 100 list. We didn't hit number 1, but we did get number 2!! An El Paso spot even made the list!
Who is Number 2??
Who knows what makes barbeque the best? I mean, individually, we know its succulent meats, flavorful sauces, and vibrant plates, but choosing for Yelp might have just been the most positive comments with the best algorithm winning buzzwords...who knows?
What we do know is that Corkscrew BBQ in Spring, TX just happened to have whatever Yelp needed to make #2 on its Top 100 BBQ spots in America.
How Good Is It??
With over 1,000 5-Star reviews on Yelp, it seems like this place might really live up to the hype. The reviews praise this place and even say Corkscrew BBQ has THE BEST BRISKET IN TEXAS!! I know, some people will go to war for this particular statement, but that's just what 1,000 strangers on the internet said. So take it as you will.
Who Else Made The Top 100??
Texas actually had the biggest amount of smokehouses on the Top 100 BBQ list but Texas even took over the Top 5! #4 is pictured above, a smokehouse in Amarillo named Tyler Barbeque. Would be kinda fun if they were located in Tyler, TX.
El Paso Made The List Too!
El Paso joins the Top 100 BBQ list with Desert Oak Barbecue!! Desert Oak came in at number 74 but still sits on the list and that's a big deal, not only does it add to Texas BBQ strength, but it also means El Paso makes some damn good BBQ!!
