The list of 2019’s Best Places to Celebrate Easter is out, and El Paso is among the top 40 best cities to commemorate the resurrection of Christ.

The list-happy financial website Wallethub analyzed and ranked the 100 biggest cities in America, grading them based several factors including percentage of the population that identifies as Christian, churches per capita, restaurants serving Easter brunch, the number of Easter egg hunt events available, and the Easter Sunday weather forecast.

The large number of children aged 9 and younger, egg hunting events per capita, plus our "share of Christian population" pushed El Paso's total score to 41.1, which was good enough for a #38 ranking.

The one category you'd expect El Paso to place at or near the top -- "Easter Weather" -- was the one we scored the lowest in (#61). I guess our expected high of 83 degrees and sunny skies wasn't Easter-y enough.

Houston (#11), Dallas (#20), and San Antonio (#17) were the Texas cities that ranked higher. No other city in the Lone Star State was in the top 40.
