Dee Margo and David Saucedo will face off once again for the office of the mayor of El Paso in a run off election on June 10, but if you want to see them in a candidate forum before then, you’re out of luck.

Margo announced that he will not participate in any more forums with Saucedo. A number of El Paso news outlets wanted to hold a mayoral debate, but Margo said no because he has already participated in more than 30 forums. Saucedo said yes to the forum that would have been put on by KVIA, the El Paso Times, El Paso Inc., KDBC/KFOX, and KTSM, among other media outlets.

Margo emailed a statement to KVIA stating that his platform resonated with the community and Saucedo's recent accusations do not provide any productive solutions to El Paso’s issues. On a recent ABC 7 Xtra, Saucedo alleged that bribes, kickbacks and preferential treatment is happening at City Hall, but would not answer about why he hasn’t gone to authorities to report the illegal activities.

Early voting for the June 10 run off begins May 30.
