Actor Wilmer Valderrama is the latest celebrity to drop in at L & J Café and we know what he ordered.

Valderrama, aka Special Agent Nick Torres on the CBS crime drama NCIS but probably best known for playing foreign exchange student Fez on That 70s Show, was in El Paso Friday, July 9, for a meet and greet at Freedom Crossing on Fort Bliss and had lunch at the iconic central El Paso eatery.

A favorite lunch and dinner spot for many locals, L & J Café has become an almost mandatory stop-off for any celebrity in town for an event or just passing through who is looking for a taste of El Paso. If you’re going to have a random run-in with a famous face in El Paso, chances are it’s going to be at “The Old Place by the Graveyard.”

The list of famous names the iconic landmark has fed recently includes Sam Elliott, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Marth Stewart who had green chicken enchiladas when she popped in for a bite while was passing through in 2019.

So, what did Fez, I mean Wilmer order? According to the fine folks at L & J he had steak tacos and a cup of tortilla soup. “He was very, very friendly,” they added.

Judging by the number of photos I saw on social media of him posing with El Pasoans, he was also very accommodating to fans.

Valderamma is a USO Global Ambassador and travels around the world entertaining the troops. While in town for the on-base appearance he also checked out the murals in Lincoln Park and the monument of the Men of Company E in Delta Park in South El Paso, and made an “impromptu visit to Soldiers of Task Force Boomer -345 Combat Sustainment Support Battalion” at Fort Bliss.
