Former UTEP Miner and ex-NFL player turned magician Jon Dorenbos made another appearance on NBC’s reality TV talent show, America’s Got Talent, Monday night.

Dorenbos appeared on the Jan. 21 episode of “AGT: The Champions,” which features 50 of the most memorable and all-around fan-favorite contestants from past seasons.

Jon played for UTEP from 2000-2002, spent 11 seasons in Philadelphia as the team's long snapper before being traded to New Orleans in 2017. A physical by Saints doctors ultimately revealed an aortic aneurysm that required immediate surgery and effectively ended his career.

On his first appearance in season 11 (2016), Jon finished in third place. That time he amazed the judges with his mad card trick skills.

This go-round he had Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Mel B. choose a piece of paper at random then played a game of tic-tac-toe with Howie Mandel to correctly reveal the word each judge had chosen arbitrarily. Yeah, it’s a little hard to explain so check out the video below.

As impressed as the judges were – especially Simon -- Dorenbos was eventually eliminated and will not be in the finale.
