El Pasoan on Season Premiere of ‘America’s Got Talent’
UPDATE 5/27: Vincent Marcus was voted through to the next round. Read more HERE.
El Paso native Vincent Marcus will be making his television debut on the season premiere of NBC’s America’s Got Talent on Tuesday, May 26.
Marcus uses his time on the big stage showcasing his mimicry skills in a medley of old school rappers -- including Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Jay-Z -- doing nursery rhymes.
Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara, the crowd, and especially host Terry Crews seem really impressed with his routine judging from the preview video clip posted below. It doesn't appear Vincent gets a "buzz" from Simon or any of the judges during his performance, but since he can't talk about it we will have to wait until the episode airs to hear what kind of feedback or criticism he got from the judges and if he moves on to the next stage.
Marcus, a Burges alum and UTEP graduate, became an internet sensation in 2014 during the glory days of Vine showcasing his sick beat-boxing skills and dead-on Family Guy impressions.
He moved to Los Angeles four years ago to pursue his dream of sleeping late and going to work in sweatpants and sandals a few times a week as a voice actor.
In the meantime, Marcus continues to make a living doing his impressions and comedic routines on social media, where he has a large following on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
