UTEP’s Theatre Department Present Oedipus El Rey on Stage

Don’t miss this newly adapted play set in a barrio in Los Angeles set around a Latino who struggles growing up in American culture, it hits the stage on April 26, 2019.

If you love theatre and supporting the local art scene then you must get your tickets for the upcoming production of Oedipus el Rey which is a contemporary adaption of Sophocles’ Oedipus, the King. This new adaption written by Luis Alfaro features a Latino who questions his race as he grows up in the barrio in Los Angeles, CA facing tragic struggles in American culture.
