Each year, the Library of Congress adds movies to its archives that have been judged to be "culturally, aesthetically or historically important and worthy of preservation for future generations." This year, a couple of classics from the '80s made the list, so the next time you run across them on cable, you should feel really smug about watching a movie that is worthy of future generations, and not just some silly flick you saw in high school.
