I love classic movies, and one of my favorites is 'Shane'. I'm not usually a western fan, but 'Shane' is one of those movies that transcends a specific genre. There is so much going on and the story is so relatable that you sometimes forget that you are watching a western.

'Shane' is the story of an old west gunslinger who just wants to settle down and give up his gunslinging ways. He finds a small town in Wyoming that looks like just the type of place that he would like to disappear into and gets a job as a farmhand. As he is going about his business on the farm and not making any waves, he gets drawn into a battle between the townsfolk and a ruthless cattle baron who makes everyone's life in the small town absolute hell. To further complicate matters, Shane begins falling in love with the wife of the rancher who owns the ranch he is working on, and the rancher's son idolizes Shane, something that doesn't sit well with the rancher. Will Shane be able to protect the townspeople and the rancher's wife from the ruthless cattle baron? Will he steal the rancher's wife and child and devastate a good man, or will he walk away and let the cattle baron ruin everyone's life? You'll have to see this amazing movie to find out.

The movie is free and after the movie, go check out the Museum. It has a lot of interesting exhibits, and the architecture and furnishings are breathtaking. You can even enjoy the fantastically well-priced concessions. They have popcorn, soft drinks, and candy for a buck a piece so you can take someone with you and will probably only spend about $20 for the whole afternoon.
