Hunting for Easter eggs is fun. Hunting for Easter eggs in a swimming pool is even more fun.

If that sounds like something you'd like to do with the kids Easter weekend then keep reading because two city aquatic centers will be participating in the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department's annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza Carnivals.

The free city-wide carnivals and egg hunts will take place at various recreation centers throughout the city Friday and Saturday, April 7 - 8.

Thirteen community and recreation centers will be holding an egg hunt along with activities, games, and arts and crafts for the kids. For the list of participating rec centers, click HERE.

Egg Hunts Inside the Pool

The Eastside Natatorium at the Beast Urban Park, and Armijo Aquatic Center will be participating in this year’s carnivals as well on Saturday, April 8.

The egg hunts, broken down into age groups, will take place inside the pool followed by a couple of hours of free recreational swimming (proper swim attire required).

Eastside Natatorium Egg Hunts

11:30 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.: Ages 4 and under
11:40 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.: Ages 5 to 7
11:50 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Ages 8 to 12
12 p.m. - 2 p.m.: Family Recreational Swimming

Armijo Aquatic Center Egg Hunts

11 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.: Ages 4 and under
11:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Ages 5 to 7
11:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Ages 8 to 12
12 p.m - 2 p.m.: Family Recreational Swimming
