Licon Petting Zoo Welcomes Teen Roo Named Kenny
There’s a new mate in town as Kenny the Kangaroo debuts at the Licon Petting Zoo.
El Pasoans may have noticed a few pictures of Kenny the Kangaroo floating around social media when he made his debut earlier this week.
On Monday, the petting zoo at Licon Dairy opened its doors to the public introducing their latest addition to the petting zoo with a teenaged kangaroo named Kenny.
Kenny, the teenage kangaroo, looks so fearless and fun that I nominate him to be the petting zoo's mascot representing the fantastic variety of farm animals that they house, such as camels, ostrich, parrots, and bulls, to name but a few.
Until recently, Licon’s petting zoo had been closed since last summer due to the novel coronavirus and instead took that time to work on their enclosures. The Licon Dairy team added new automatic water troughs, weatherproofed bedding areas, and added a new playground for four new goats.
After being closed for almost a year, the park and petting zoo areas at Licon Dairy have reopened. And now it's welcoming everyone back to meet Kenny the Kangaroo and the rest of the farm-fam.
Licon Dairy has been a family landmark in San Elizario, TX, since the 1950s and to this day continues to provide some of the best freshly made high-quality cheese products, this side of the border.
If you’ve never been – make a trip this weekend, where you can load up on some of the freshest asadero cheeses, spices, jellies, jams, and so much more while the kids have fun at the petting zoo. By the way, the petting zoo is free, and you can even buy a bag of feed for $1.00 to feed the hungry bunch.
This weekend head out to Dairy Licon to welcome Kenny the Kangaroo to El Paso, all while supporting local!
