Get ready for another early evening zoo adventure. They're called Zoofari Nites, and the second one of the summer is this Saturday, July 13.

If you’ve ever wondered what the animals do after hours, or if you just want to enjoy the zoo when its a tad cooler and there's more shade, then this is the zoo event for you. Instead of closing at 5 p.m. as it normally does, the zoo will stay open until 8:30 p.m.

Some of what will happen after hours includes a later than usual Wings of the World bird show, an evening giraffe feeding, additional animal presentations, live music from Soul Parade, and free kids activities. The splash pad, carousel, and playground stay open into the evening too.

The theme this month is 'Pirates and Princesses.' Every animal enrichment will be pirate and princess related as will the arts and crafts activities. Zoo staff would love it if you and/or your little ones came dressed as a pirate or princess.
