The 2016 election is just a few weeks away and New Mexico does not have same day voter registration, meaning if you do not register to vote by October 11th, (tomorrow) you will not be able to vote on November 8th. So here is what you need to do. In the state, you have three ways to register to vote: online, by mail, or in person. In all three cases, the deadline to register is Tuesday, October 11th.

The easiest way to register is online. Just a few things to submit and you’re done! The other option you have is to fill out the registration forms and send in, BUT again the deadline is October 11th, so make sure you get it in the mail before the deadline! The address to send it out to in Dona Ana County is:

Lynn J. Ellins (D)
845 N. Motel Blvd.
Las Cruces, NM 88007
Phone: (575) 647-7421
Fax: (575) 527-9857
Email: elections@donaanacounty.org

A final option would be in person at the address listed above or even at the MVD. The forms must be filled out and dropped back off by October 14th if done in person.
