Free Downtown Music Series, Alfresco! Fridays Announces 2019 Season

Alfresco! Fridays returns May 3 through August 23.

The free concert series will again take place at the Convention Center Plaza in front of the Convention Center in Downtown El Paso on Friday nights and feature fresh-air performances from a variety of bands.

Although this year's lineup has not be revealed as of this writing, 93.1 KISS-FM has learned the weekly Friday night summer gatherings will begin with a special Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 3 with live Mariachi music.

Every week, popular music genres such as Salsa, Jazz, Cumbia, Country, Reggae, Classic Rock, and Blues are represented by mostly hometown bands with a handful of regional groups sprinkled in.

Entry to Alfresco! Fridays is free, with the end of the work-week parties getting underway at 6 p.m.

Food and drinks including burgers, Street Tacos, hot dogs, Nachos and adult beverages are available for purchase.
