From Cumbias to Jazz, Alfresco Fridays Returns to Downtown El Paso

Get your dancing shoes out of the closet, because Alfresco! Fridays is back to kick off the weekends.

The free concert series will again take place at the Convention Center Plaza in front of the Convention Center in Downtown El Paso on Friday nights with free fresh-air performances from a variety of local and regional bands and singers.

This year there's going to be a total of 12 Friday evenings of music, dancing and Margaritas from June 9 through August 25.

From Cumbias to Jazz, Retro to Country, the new season of Alfresco! Fridays returns with lots of local fan favorites including Tribes, Soul Parade, and Pie Sisters.

What to Know if You Plan to Go

Alfresco! Fridays takes place at the Convention Center Plaza in front of the Convention Center. The weekly Friday evening concerts are family-friendly and free to see; no tickets needed. All weekly hangouts are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase, so guests may not bring outside food or drinks.

Pets are not allowed either no matter how well behaved he or she may be. Attendees,however, are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and a let's-get-the-party-started attitude.
