2017 Season of Alfresco! Friday Gets Underway Friday with Cinco de Mayo Party

Get your party pants pressed, dig out that novelty sombrero from deep inside the closet, and practice your grito because Alfresco! Fridays is kicking off its 15th season on Cinco de Mayo.

The weekly Friday night summer gatherings are festive enough already, but throw in a pseudo drinking "holiday" and mariachis, and, thanks to the internet, you might have to start a new life elsewhere.

The free outdoor party will get underway at 6 p.m. at the Convention Center Plaza downtown with a special Cinco de Mayo concert by Mariachi Los Arrieros.

Tacos, nachos and cerveza, as well as non-Cinco type food and drinks, will be available for purchase.

Have fun partying like a Mexican rock star, and please remember to drink and ogle each other responsibly.
