Who's up for an early evening adventure at the El Paso Zoo? They're called Zoofari Nites, and the first one of the summer is this Saturday, June 22.

If you’ve ever wondered what the animals do after hours, or if you just want to enjoy the zoo when its a tad cooler and there's more shade, then this is the zoo event for you.

Instead of closing at 5 p.m. as it normally does, the zoo will stay open until 8:30 p.m. Some of what will happen after hours includes additional animal presentations, an evening giraffe feeding, and a later than usual Wings of the World bird show. The splash pad, carousel, and playground stay open into the evening too.

Zoofari Nites #1 will feature a video game theme. Every animal enrichment will be video game related as will the arts and crafts activities, and there will even be a mini video game arcade inside the Wildlife Amphitheater.
