This summer, Estrella Jalisco is brightening our neighborhoods with commissioned murals that honor inspiring local people who bring color to our lives.

Estrella Jalisco is encouraging the El Paso community to nominate a Local Star - a person who is making a positive impact in their unique way. This summer, public art murals will begin to pop up in communities across El Paso, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix. Neighborhoods will come alive with colorful, larger-than-life murals that visually reflect Estrella Jalisco’s vibrant, colorful heritage and have a special connection to its neighborhood by featuring a Local Star.

“First brewed in Guadalajara, Jalisco, the cultural capital of Mexico renowned for its vibrant art scene, Estrella Jalisco has a long-standing tradition of bringing people together around colorful art and celebrating life,” said Jayden Kahl, Senior Director of Marketing, Estrella Jalisco.

Estrella Jalisco is on a mission to brighten lives, and are pledging $1 million by 2025 to bring colorful art - in all of its forms - to communities such as El Paso, TX.

Resident Los Angeles artist and activist, Ruben Rojas will kick off the initiative by unveiling the program’s first piece of art for the campaign video and by creating its first-ever Artists In Residence program, a collective of nine bright and bold artists from across the country for the first initiative of Estrella Jalisco’s commitment.

El Pasoans are invited to nominate local stars who are making a big impact and bringing positivity into our community. The person submitted must be 25+ years old and can be an artist, business owner, or even a musician, anyone who is making a difference for others locally. Persons selected will be recognized with a mural created by one of the Artists in Residence along with a donation to help advance their mission. To submit a nomination, visit @EstrellaJalisco on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook using #SaludYourStar and #contest.
