Out of an abundance of caution to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the El Paso Zoo will be closed to the public starting March 19, 2020 until further notice. We will be debuting a virtual zoo experience called Sofa Safaris tomorrow on our Facebook at 10am and 2pm! Sofa Safaris will feature some rare behind the scene training sessions, veterinary exams and many other features never before seen by the visiting public. This will be a great opportunity for you and your family to enjoy the Zoo and get a peek into the Zoo from a different perspective. Keep posted for more information to come about our new virtual program!
The El Paso Zoo has created a fun way to interact with zoo animals from the comfort and safety of your home. Simply follow their Sofa Safaris schedule to view exclusive training of the animals, veterinary exams, interviews with zoo keepers and much more on their Facebook Page.
Seriously, this is something really cool and unique to experience during these crazy times. I applaud the El Paso Zoo for stepping up and creating fun to distract those who really need it. You can only watch Frozen 2 so many times.
