The mother of a special needs student at Olga Kohlberg school says she was told by school officials that there had been an incident during the school day involving her child and a teacher's aide. The school told Celeea Lujan that her son didn't want to line up, and the paraprofessional had slapped her son lightly on the wrist.

But other parents who saw the incident told Lujan had closed her wrist and hit the boy on his arm and face. The little boy was seen crying and calling for his mom. Others said the 5-year-old was kicked by the paraprofessional. Parents who were there did file reports about the incident, and EPISD police officers are investigating the incident.
