I love a farmers market. There are so many things to see and buy, and the vendors at a farmers market are local so you're helping a fellow El Pasoan make money that will stay in our city. The Downtown Art and Farmers Market is usually held on Saturday mornings throughout the year, but next weekend, they will be expanding their hours and ringing in the holiday season with their annual Holiday Market.

WinterFest kicks off next weekend and the downtown farmers market Holiday Market is a big part of the festivities. Saturday, November 23rd from noon to 8 p.m. at the Pedestrian Pathway between Chihuahuas Stadium and Convention Center will be chock full of vendors selling all kinds of goodies so you can get your Christmas shopping off to a roaring start or finish it up altogether.

There will be over 80 vendors, a Food Truck Garden so you can enjoy a delicious meal while you browse the market before the lighting of the tree celebration and parade. If you really want to make it a day, bring your lawn chairs and watch local singers and entertainers bring on the Christmas cheer. There will be free activity booths that the whole family can participate in and you can ride the Sun City Express Train.
