If you think half-time performances at high school football games are only for going to the bathroom and stretching your legs, then you are missing out on some serious on-field fireworks. High school bands all over town are going to work their fingers to the bone as the 2015 Band Marching season kicks off.

Andress High’s Marching Invitational was last week, but you can catch two competitions this week.

El Paso ISD’s Marching Invitational at Bowie High is a two day event that will showcase bands from all over the El Paso. They will compete in 15-minute segments. Admission for the is $5. On Saturday, head out to the Student Activities Complex at 1300 Joe Battle in far east El Paso to check out thirteen marching bands in an all day competition. Tickets are $5, and children under three are free.
