The El Paso Public Library is looking for your gently used formal wear for prom this year.

Do you have formal wear that you no longer need? Maybe that dress you bought for a wedding or quinceñera that hasn’t been worn in years? Here is your chance to donate all that formal wear to local students to use for prom this year.

Every year students who want to attend prom may not be able to do so especially if they are facing financial strains at home and have nothing to wear to attend the formal event. Therefore this year, the El Paso Public Library’s Clardy Fox Branch is collecting formal wear and accessories which will be donated to local high school male and female students who are unable to afford formal wear for their special events.

Items Accepted:

  • Prom Dresses
  • Formal Wear
  • Evening Dresses
  • Shirts
  • Pants
  • Dress shoes
  • Ties
  • Jewelry
  • Belts
  • Purses
  • Hair Accessories

All clothes and accessory donations must be gently used and in clean and wearable condition.

Donations may be dropped off at any library branch location now through the end of May during normal business hours.

Students in need of clothing and accessories can visit the Clardy Fox Library Branch on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon or 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The items are free of charge and students only need to provide a form of identification to select items.

For more information call the Clardy Fox Branch Library at 915-212-0456.
