There’s an initiative in town that is hoping to bring more awareness to the avoid neglect when it comes to our elders and you can help this initiative with a simple donation!

Bienvivir, in collaboration with Adult Protective Services (APS), is spearheading a donation drive to benefit vulnerable elderly and disabled adults in El Paso.

Through this initiative, both organizations are hoping to stock the El Paso APS Silver Star Resource Room which is a 24/7 store-like space where APS caseworkers can access necessities and emergency resources for adults facing abuse and neglect.

This initiative has been around for a while but both organizations are trying to create more awareness by hosting donation drives in hopes of locals donating more supplies so elders in need can always have necessities they are in dire need of.

Most recently, 50 boxes of adult diapers were donated to Bienvivir for the Silver Star room and Bienvivir's Outreach Coordinator, Ryan Gonzalez, is hopeful that they can maintain this kind of momentum throughout the whole year.
