Construction of 3 New El Paso Dutch Bros Moving Along
West El Paso is brewing up a new business that literally brews as its business. A second west side Dutch Bros is currently under construction, this one on North Mesa near the University of Texas at El Paso.
Having already opened two Dutch Bros' on opposite ends of town, the drive-thru, walk-up Oregon-based coffee chain is in the process of perking up the east, west, and far east sides of town.
The first local coffee shop made its Sun City debut October 2021 at 7727 Paseo Del Norte Boulevard near Northwestern Drive right between the West Town Marketplace and The Canyons at Cimarron.
A second location opened in February in the Eastlake Commons open-air mall at 12221 Eastlake Blvd, across the street from Eastlake Marketplace.
What's a Dutch Bros?
Dutch Bros Coffee is one of the fastest-growing drive-thru coffee chains in the country. Headquartered in Oregon, it was founded in 1992 by two brothers of Dutch descent.
For the uninitiated, Dutch Bros coffee creations tend to run on the sweet side, and they don’t serve just a regular cup of black coffee. For those who aren’t as fond of or in the mood for coffee, they also offer smoothies, freezes, teas, and energy drinks.
Second West Side Location
Construction of the future Dutch Bros on North Mesa in the spot the Bush's Chicken building once stood on is underway. As of this writing, plumbing is being worked on with the frame and exterior to follow .
It's moving along at a good clip since demolition of the other building began on February 21.
Like the other Dutch Bros’ that have already opened, it will consist of a double drive-thru lane and walk-up window, and there will not be any indoor seating.
East and Far East
The east side location is on McRae in the At Home Décor parking lot. The area is fenced off in anticipation of site work beginning.
The other project is at 2105 North Zaragoza at Sun Fire Blvd near the Sun Fire Village shopping center.
When Will They Open?
All 3 are in various stages of planning and construction so there is no word yet on when exactly each location will be brewing and infusing, but the hope is they all will be by the end of the year.
