Bug Fest is Back at the El Paso Zoo This Weekend
Insects. Creepy-crawlies. Bugs. Whichever way you refer to them, the El Paso Zoo will celebrate them this weekend during their annual festival of insects.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11 you and the kids can learn about bugs – and even eat some – at Bug Fest.
If it squirms, slithers, or buzzes chances are it will be at the zoo’s biggest bug bash of the year. And if you're not too squeamish, you'll have the opportunity to interact with different bugs from all over the world.
Feeling particularly adventurous?
Go ahead and pop a crunchy bug delicacy or two in your mouth. I’m told the zoo's executive chef is busy preparing scrumptious menu items like Grasshopper Fried Rice, Scorpion Tostadas, and Chocolate Cricket Chip Cookies.
Um ... yum?
Live entertainment, arts and crafts, games and inflatables will be part of the fun-filled weekend at the zoo as well as educational lectures, and delightful decorations.
Bug Fest is free with regular zoo admission.
