The Assistance League of El Paso will be holding its first annual Christmas Fair coming up on Saturday, December 3, 2016.

The Assistance League of El Paso is an all volunteer, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to helping those in the immediate El Paso community. Assistance League of El Paso’s major philanthropic program is Operation School Bell. Operation School Bell provides a weeks’ worth of school clothes for elementary school children in need. Last year, 3800 children in all nine of the El Paso area school districts received clothing thanks to the program.

This year the Assistance League of El Paso’s Thrift Store will be holding its first annual Christmas Fair featuring many Christmas and nostalgic items along with jewelry, clothing and toys with proceeds benefiting multiple philanthropy programs.

Some of the programs the Assistance League of El Paso is involved in include:

PASO (Put A Smile On) BEARS

This program provides Teddy Bears to first response agencies, who in return give the bears to traumatized persons to help calm them in an emergency situation. 500 bears have been provided this year.

Assault Survivor Kits

Kits are purchased, assembled and delivered to agencies who help victims of assault.  When assault victim’s clothes are kept as evidence by law enforcement, kits are given to the victims to wear home.

La Posada Home
