More than 11,000 runners and walkers participated in the 20th Annual Komen El Paso Race for the Cure event Saturday. It was my first time participating in this amazing event and I had to take some pictures of the awesome outfits people were wearing.

Congratulations to all the participants of this race for coming out and crossing that finish line. It was really early in the morning, the weather wasn't the best at the beginning but tons of people came out to support the cause.

After the run, I wandered around and found these two great guys not afraid to wear pink. Not only did they wear pink but they had bras on and stuffed them with oranges! These guys were my favorite.

During my run, I came across this fine gentleman. Yes, that is a pink firefighter uniform. I applaud this guy for running with all that extra weight and pulling off pink so well!

While waiting for the race to start, I was standing next to these lovely women who were holding really creative pink ribbon signs as you can see in this picture. They were part of a group that were wearing some pretty awesome Texas Tech shirts and waving the Texas Tech flag proudly.

I am so short but managed to take a decent crowd picture. Everyone was proud to wear pink and anxious to start the run!

Participants also had very creative and sweet signs. I ran into these two ladies at the starting line, who where running in memory of their loved one. For the first time participating in this race, seeing people wearing these signs and hearing the stories of survivors over the loud speakers was truly inspirational.

I wasn't able to capture all the great costumes people were wearing for this event, so if you have one of your own, feel free to send it to me or leave it in the comments below!
