For the second time in three years, the Amigo Airsho has been cancelled. Airsho officials said via press release that they are scrapping this year's event so that they can make some improvements. The Airsho has been around for thirty years, but the Amigo Airsho Board President says when they moved to Doña Ana County Airport in Santa Teresa last year from the Biggs Army Airfield, "It was done in a cut-and-paste manner." He did, however, praise Doña Ana County officials, volunteers, vendors and sponsors for their help in putting on a quality show.

The Amigo Airsho has had some financial trouble in the past few years. According to tax documents, the nonprofit group lost $366,377 from 2012 to February 2014, $178,473 from 2013 when there was no show. Airsho officials say they will continue to work with Doña Ana County, but did not say when the event will be held next.
