The Ysleta Independent School District has released their 2020 virtual graduation schedule.  Graduation ceremonies for YISD high schools will be streamed on Saturday, June 13, 2020 and Sunday, June 14, 2020 at KTSM.com.

As the school closures began to drag on as a result of COVID-19, local school districts had to re-think exactly how to hold a graduation ceremony that adequately honors the class of 2020 while also keeping student safety in mind.  As Mike reported back in April, YISD indicated they would hold virtual ceremonies in June while still planning on having traditional commencement ceremonies at a later date.

I'm looking forward to seeing these Seniors get a chance to walk across the stage and be recognized for not only the hard work they've put in over the past 4 years, but also for how they've shown their strength of character by handling this unprecedented and unforeseen situation with class.

Also, don't forget that you can also honor a 2020 high school graduate by submitting their picture via the free 93.1 KISSFM Mobile App for a chance to win a scholarship as part of the 2020 Senior Salute presented by TFCU's High School Spirit Debit Card!
