When spring fever hits, it makes you want to freshen up your home and work on your yard. The City of El Paso wants to help you do that by offering free paint and mulch.

The Environmental Services Department has free paint at all Citizen Collection Stations. You can drop off old paint to the City to protect the environment and keep it out of the landfill. That paint is then redistributed to the public for free. You can get a 5-gallon container of paint on a first-come, first-served basis at the collection sites. There are different colors, and they vary by location, but, hey, they're free. You have to be an El Paso resident to get the free paint. There is a limit of one 5 gallon tub of paint per customer, per visit.

Mulch is free to the general public, but there is a fee for businesses. For more information, you can call 212-6000, or go to the Environmental Services Department website.
