The Department of Public Health’s 2-1-1 Texas Call Center is available for assistance 24/7 to El Paso residents seeking counseling services and mental health resources.

The number of calls has dramatically increased after the mass shootings that took place on August 3, 2019, at the Walmart in El Paso. The free hotline is available not just for the victims who are looking for more information about the victims’ compensation and disaster services but also those who are seeking post-disaster crisis counseling but also for mental health therapy.

The Department of Public Health encourages anyone who is unsure of who to reach out to or is having a difficult time adjusting after the tragic mass shootings to call the 2-1-1 helpline.

Help is available by dialing 2-1-1 where trained and referral specialists are available to speak 24 hours a day and are operational 7 days a week.
