Every Monday morning, I write a blog post called 'Military Mondays'.  We started this post so friends and families of troops stationed at Fort Bliss could tell us all about their loved one who is serving in the military.  Today, I'm going to be on the ABC 7 'Noon Show' to talk about Military Mondays.

Last night on Conan, Will Farrell announced the return of Ron Burgundy, the highlarious anchorman from the movie 'Anchorman'.  If he's going to gear up for another go-round as R.B., he better brush up on our famous local ex-anchorman who rocked the Ron Burgundy 'stache first!

El Paso County Commissioner "Willie" Gandara Jr. will resign his seat on Commissioners Court today.  His lawyer, Joe Spencer, said he will also withdraw from the State Representative District 75 race.  Gandara Jr. was in court this morning on federal drug charges after he was arrested last week.

GREAT MOMENTS IN EL PASO BROADCASTING:Estela Casas and Rick Cabrera were caught horsing around late last week while recording a promo during a "Nightline" commercial break. The two veteran newscasters were apparently unaware someone in the master control room had pressed the wrong switch.

GREAT MOMENTS IN (EL PASO) BROADCASTING: My recent post of Channel 9's Chuck DeBroder's getting caught putting on his makeup in the background of a live news promo made me wonder what other news bloopers or otherwise notable El Paso broadcasting moments have captured the attention of Youtube users.

GOODNIGHT, GOODBYE, AND THANKS FOR WATCHING - MIKE'S BLAH BLAH BLOG: Because of what I do for a living I have to stay at least semi-informed, so watching the news is more a necessity than an option. I therefore notice  the comings and goings of tv people sooner than the casual viewer. Recently, I become aware that quite a few lady reporters were missing.

As we all know, I'm trying to avoid being fat and 45.  I've been working out, I've been trying to watch what I eat, and I've even begun to see some positive changes.  Then I had dinner last night with a hotsie totsie named Marissa Monroy!

Darren just got home and had some pretty exciting news about the Sun Bowl.

It's Monday afternoon and I'm trying to figure out how to work this silly thing they call the internets.  Our intrepid web dude, Johnnie Walker has patiently been trying to help me navigate our new website, but I'm pretty old and, well, you know what they say about old dogs and new tricks!  Add to that the fact that it's Monday, and you have a perfect storm for me.
