Santa is getting high this weekend. 5,632 feet above sea level, to be precise.

The Big Guy will be hanging out at the Wyler Aerial Tramway this Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, for a few hours. It's the perfect opportunity to tell him in person how good you've been all year – and of course, what you want for Christmas – and have your photo taken with him on top of Ranger Peak.

A Santa pic and breathtaking views of El Paso from high atop the Franklin Mountains? Yes, please!

Santa will be at Wyler Aerial Tramway State Park, 1700 McKinley, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and then he has to fly back to the North Pole to prepare for the big day. Tramway tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 years and under.

The Tramway sometimes closes due to high winds or bad weather, so call before heading out (915-566-6622), or check the Wyler Aerial Tramway State Park Facebook page.

How to Get There:

Take U.S. Highway 54 north from Interstate 10 and exit Fred Wilson Boulevard; take a left on Fred Wilson, which turns into Alabama Street; follow Alabama to McKinley Avenue and take a right. McKinley ends at the park.
