Monika interviews Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October on the way to the airport.

Justin Furstenfeld and the rest of the guys of Blue October where in town to perform at Beer Bites and Beats over the weekend.  The day was chaotic to say the least and since there was so much going on, he and I never had a chance to record a proper interview so we winged it.

After a full 24 hours of running around and the show was done and the band had gone to bed for about 3 hours, I was back at the hotel picking everyone up in the wee early hour of 4 a.m. Since we never had a chance to sit and have a one-on-one we decided to have an impromptu interview on the way to the airport.  The end result is a bunch of silly and random questions that I threw out to Justin and he in turn went along with it – but that’s Justin for you – a fun loving dude who’s down to for whatever and I love him dearly for always being so accommodating.

Look out for Blue October’s Documentary – an introspective look at the band over the last few years and how Justin Furstendfeld’s sobriety has made an indelible impact on the band and how that’s reverberated into their family and friends lives. The rock documentary aptly titled The Blue October Documentary is slated to be released October 25, 2018.
