Cereso Prison’s Last Inmate Gives an Interview from Juarez, Mx
The last inmate in the jail that's at the center of the most recent prison escape in Juarez, Mexico, tells US why he wants to stay on the INSIDE of one of the world's most dangerous prisons.
In the aftermath of the jailbreak at Cereso #3 prison which resulted in the escape of 25 inmates AND the death of 10 guards, the Federal government has decided to move all remaining inmates to other prisons throughout Mexico.
The Buzz Adams Morning Show was lucky enough to secure an interview with the LAST remaining jailbird.
His name is Victor Alma Hugo and he has been in prison for the past 15 years.
Although an admitted narco boss, in some unnamed cartel, he has resisted all attempts at removal or change in location, even in the chaos resulting from the recent and violent prison break.
Through a translator, he talked to us about what happened when 25 fellow inmates were freed, his current lifestyle in prison, and why he doesn't want to leave.
NA: Hello Senor Hugo, how are you doing?
VH: Honestly, I'm pissed! [Translated]
VH: They're trying to make me leave my home!
NA: You mean, prison?
VH: Of course, what else would I mean?! They just won't stop molesting me!
VH: Molestan! Pestering!
NA: Who won't stop pestering you?
VH: Those mothers f****** government ass*****, they're trying to make me leave! The place I've lived in for the past 15 years! Even those guys who broke out tried to make me escape with them, and I was like, Nah, I'm good right here homies.
NA: The news has shown luxury prison cells at Cereso with plasma screen TVs. It's that true?
VH: That's just the tip, bro. I've got an en-suite, full bathroom, with a jacuzzi tub, and a separate shower/ wet sauna, that has a rainfall shower head with water pressure to die for. It could cut granite. You can't find that kind of thing on the outside.
NA: You want to stay in a Mexican prison for a bathroom?
VH: Nooooo! Then there's the personal chef, 24-hour room service, complimentary house cleaning and turn-down service, the free personal trainer, the weekly game nights, the spa complete with an esthetician and Japanese mud bath, and a California king mattress that can fit up to 9 vatos if you catch my drift homie.
NA: Really? And the Warden, guards, and staff, all the government officials know about this?
VH: Sheeeeesh. Hell yeah, they did; not only did they know about our life, but they got to dip their dirty little toes into everything, and they got to enjoy it with us. Even the governor and the president would show up and sometimes we'd all ...
Our call was suddenly terminated.
All further attempts at contacting Victor were met with failure and a dial tone.
A jarring conversation with an abrupt ending is all that is left of the prisoner Victor Alma Hugo.
