Overnight Semi-truck Crash Shuts Down I-10 West near Downtown

UPDATE (6:30 a.m.): All westbound lanes are now open.

A crash near Downtown early this morning has led to the complete closure of I-10 West.

According to ABC-7, the collision involving two 18-wheelers and a car occurred under the Wyoming and Missouri overpass at around 1 a.m. The car ended up underneath one of the semi-trailers. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly taken to the hospital with only minor injuries.

As a result of the crash, all lanes on I-10 heading west are closed.

The clean-up and investigation is on-going. At this time a timeline for when the freeway is expected to reopen has not been determined.
