El Paso Wants To Pay You To Cross The Border And Test Out A New App
There are a lot of El Pasoans who travel back and forth over the border to Juarez every day, and a new app that is being tested by the City of El Paso could put some extra cash in your pocket if you do that.
The City and the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority along with Metropia have launched a feature on an app that is hoping to help reduce traffic at the border. The free app will show border crossers the best routes and times to cross the border by tracking wait times at the different El Paso ports of entry. To help work out the kinks in the app, Metropia is offering $2.50 per crossing, up to a maximum of four trips over the border per day, between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
