May The Force Be With You — Chihuahuas to Wear Star Wars Jersey
El Paso Chihuahuas will be channeling "The Force". The team announced today that they will be wearing Star Wars themed jerseys for their August 30th home game against Las Vegas. Carlos Asuaje modeled the jersey which the Chihuahuas released on social media.

The jerseys feature the poster artwork of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, released in 1977, and designed by The Brothers [Greg and Tim] Hildebrandt. They depict Stars Wars characters Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Darth Vader and include C-3PO and R2-D2 along with the Death Star. The back of the jerseys feature the image of a lightsaber.
If that is not enough, that night is also T-Shirt Tuesday, so the first 2,000 fans will receive a free Chihuahuas t-shirt courtesy of GECU and 600 ESPN El Paso. The Star Wars jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the El Paso Chapter of the March of Dimes.
