Marching Band Competition Heading to UTEP in May

The Battle of El Dorado, a marching band competition will take place at UTEP this Saturday.

Just like in the 2002 movie Drumline, this one of a kind HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) marching band competition will offer college scholarships in all aspects of marching band to El Paso area students.

Its taken three years of planning and coordination to bring this event to El Paso that not only offers entertainment, but a much needed educational aspect.

Diversity is the mission statement of each university traveling to the area where students will be able to attend and have a chance to obtain “Full” college marching band scholarships.

Over 600 marching band members will arrive in El Paso April 31^st to be part of the Battle of El Dorado. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations and at the UTEP ticket center.
