If you grew up listening to the radio in the '70s and '80s or have become familiar with classic rock and oldies through video games and advertising than you’re likely familiar with the sounds of these 3 great bands.

Chicago. Foreigner. Earth, Wind & Fire.

All have had legendary careers spanning decades and multiple chart-topping hits, and I can play the air guitar and air horn to their songs like nobody's business.

Two of them are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it’s a shame the other one isn’t. And all three will be rocking out and funking up El Paso over the next couple of months.

If you're a fan of any of the bands these concerts are a must see. Not just because of the nostalgia factor, but because we're losing more and more guitar heroes and singers we grew up listening to every year and who knows how many more chances we'll get to see them perform live.

Best known for its '70s horn-based pop rock hits such as "Saturday in the Park," "Just You 'n' Me," and "25 or 6 to 4," and soft-rock '80s ballads "Hard to Say I'm Sorry," "You're the Inspiration," and "Look Away," the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rock band Chicago returns to El Paso brassier than ever.

One of the longest-running, best-selling groups of all time, the legendary band is set to perform at the Abraham Chavez Theatre on Friday, March 3, 2022.

One of the most popular rock bands from the late ’70s/early ’80s is also bringing their playlist of musical memories to the Abraham Chavez Theatre this spring.

The band is coming to town with its “Greatest Hits” tour and will be making a stop here on Monday, April 11.

Those greatest hits include rockers Feels Like the "First Time," "Hot Blooded," "Juke Box Hero," and "Urgent," the ballad "Waiting for a Girl Like You," and their signature anthem, "I Want to Know What Love Is".

You may not remember the 21st night of September, but you won't forget the 24th night of April because you’ll be grooving that night. See what I did there? I cleverly paraphrased lyrics from two of their biggest songs. Anyways …

The Grammy Award-winning pop/soul/funk/R&B group will be turning the Plaza Theatre into a Boogie Wonderland on Sunday, April 24.

Their chart successes and enduring sound earned them a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, and their string of hits that includes “Shining Star, “Sing a Song,” “September” “Reasons,” and “Let’s Groove” to name but a few are as memorable as they are old.
