Las Cruces Woman Beats Up Husband Over Birthday Present

A man didn't buy his wife a birthday present, so she attacks him with a broomstick.

Kimberly Navarette was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center and released four hours later on a $1,000 bond for allegedly beating her husband with a broomstick. Her husband told police Navarette was "tripping out" because he did not get her anything on her birthday.

Officers observed red marks on the man's chest and the side of his head apparently from his wife and her attack on him after she found out he did not get her a birthday present. She beat him using the household broom. Navarette was jailed on a charge of battery against a household member.
