El Paso Independent School District officials announced earlier this morning that students and faculty at Irvin High School will have a day off because of a water main break. The water main break happened early Thursday morning. The school does have construction going on right now, but there is no word on whether the water main break was related to the ongoing construction.

In addition to all classes being cancelled for Thursday, November 21 for students, faculty and staff members, all bus routes were canceled. EPISD officials say that crews worked throughout the night to fix the water main break but they weren't able to get it handled in time to hold classes.

We will be keeping an eye on this story and let you know as soon as we know if classes at Irvin High School will resume on Friday or if students, staff, and teachers will also have Friday, November 22 off because of the water main break.
