I-10 East Closed Due to Icy Conditions – Now Reopened

I-10 East out of El Paso is at a standstill due to inclement weather. UPDATE.

As the storm of 2015 hit our region, no one ever predicted this type of path it would leave. Hundreds of drivers at at a standstill on I-10 and the I-20 interchange due to icy conditions.

Some motorists reported coming from Midland to El Paso with the journey taking them 11 hours when it usually takes about 4 hours. The highway is still closed with high temperatures only reaching the mid 30's this afternoon. TXDOT has reported 4 inches of ice on the roadways at the interchange. Updates still to come as we get them.

I-10 East out of El Paso is now open, please use extreme caution still as temperatures are still bitterly cold. Travel Safe!
