River Oaks Properties, which has several commercial developments in the Horizon City/Eastlake area, announced that the big box home improvement chain plans to build its next El Paso-area location in one of its shopping centers.

Eastlake Area Is Booming

Anyone who lives, works, or has to travel through the Eastlake area knows first-hand just how much it has grown in the last year.

Since Dollar Tree became the first retail store to open in the Eastlake Marketplace shopping center in January of 202, more and more national and homegrown shopping and dining establishments have opened locations in the area or have plans to do so.

An Albertsons Too

Among the future projects is a new Albertsons at the intersection of Eastlake Blvd. and Darrington Rd.

The Eastlake store will be its second new El Paso-area grocery store in roughly 5 years, a testament to how fast the Far East/Eastlake/Horizon area has grown and continues to grow in such a short time.

No other details have been shared by River Oaks about the Eastlake Albertsons since its initial announcement last August.

According to the River Oaks post, the Home Depot will be built across the street from Eastlake Commons on Eastlake Blvd between the shopping center and the Amazon Fulfillment Center.

There are currently three Home Depot locations in El Paso, including two nearby Horizon City on 11360 Rojas and 12221 Montwood.

Other than “coming soon” no other information on the Eastlake location was disclosed.
