IN DENIAL: The "Star" tabloid claims JOHN MAYER and GIADA DE LAURENTIIS from the Food Network hooked it up in some New York hotel recently. Which would be troublesome for Giada because she's been married for seven years.
So Giada has taken time out of her busy day to blast the story today, saying, in a statement: "It is a shame a media outlet such as Star needs to rely on disgraceful lies and hide behind false anonymous sources in order to entertain their readers."

She goes on to say she hasn't even seen John since 2007, when they briefly met at a charity event. Mayer's rep calls the story, quote, "absolutely ridiculous." (--Details of Star magazine's allegations are in yesterday's posting)

Oksana asked the judge to deny Mel overnight visits, claiming he is a danger to their daughter, Lucia. But there was no ruling on the matter. Mel, in turn, asked that a gag order, barring everyone from talking about the case, be issued, but he was denied.

One matter was settled, though -- the judge ordered Mel to pay Oksana $60,000 in back child support. He's supposed to pay Oksana $20,000 a month in support, but stopped sending the cash a few months ago because he wanted to see if he could subtract the $6,000 he's already paying Oksana for the house she's living in.
